Well, that didn’t last long
One whole evening questing with Resto spec and I’ve had it. Today I went back to my Elemental spec, at least until I finish up these leftover quests. Not only did it take me FOREVER to kill things, but I guess I just don’t understand the spec well enough because I died A LOT MORE than I did with Elemental. If I stayed Resto, it would take me years to finish off these quests. So I’m going to stay Elemental for a little while longer.
Now, if someone could help me not get pwned in battlegrounds or in world PvP, I’d really appreciate it.

Resto is awesome for grouping and PVP, but not for questing. I keep an enhancement set in the bank to respec to quest.

It takes some getting used to, that’s for sure. I actually went with a resto spec with some elemental (11 points, to get Elemental Focus) there for a while. It really becomes more viable once you get better gear so that you can benefit more from the spell damage on the gear. Also, going resto and grinding in your elemental set isn’t bad either.
It’s a *big* change from enhancement or elemental. I respecced to elemental quite a few times while farming up primals. And also because I missed the big crits
If you can stay elemental, and your guild/raid group has enough healers – then more power to you. It sounds like you are more of a DPS type person, so that would probably allow you to enjoy raiding more.
It’s funny, I have better gear as enhancement, but did *A LOT* more dps as elemental in raids. Like, there is a 300dps difference.
In any case, play what’s fun for you. If it’s not fun, you will burn out quickly. I did the whole “gunna spec healbot so my guild can progress” thing, and it did suck for a while. I missed a ton of content because I was busy looking at heal bars instead of what was going on. I can’t remember much of MC or even ZG because I was healbotting through it all.

Also, for survivability in PvP, especially AV – invest in some Savory Deviate Delight. You still have a red name, but you are a much smaller target, especially since you are a tauren.
